Reports to: Program Coordinator – Instruction
Job Summary: The Program Instructor is responsible for creating an inviting, fun, challenging, and energizing atmosphere for the Day Program offered to Wings Members. More specifically, the Health & Fitness Instructor will lead Members in a variety of physical activities including cardio exercises, yoga, strength and core training, and adaptive bike riding. The Instructor will also teach fundamental skills for organized sports such as golf, baseball, basketball, swimming, soccer, and bowling within a safe and supportive environment. This role will maintain current community partnerships, including OKC Ballet, Santa Fe Family Life, OKC Parks and Recreation, Chicken N Pickle, Ball Golf, and Edmond Tennis, and will seek out new partnerships as appropriate.

Responsibilities:
- Plan, write, and implement educational and vocational curriculum using all three modalities of learning (visual, auditory, and kinesthetic)
- Create detailed weekly lesson plans and complete trimester curriculum objectives
- Monitor, track, and share program-specific data on a monthly basis
- Document ISP Members’ progress on an on-going basis to make data-informed decisions and conduct biannual ISP updates with families
- Implement appropriate behavioral interventions as necessary
- Lead volunteers in working with Members within their program
- Ability to maintain professional working relationships with staff, parents, and volunteers
- Support the strategic goals of the Wings organization
- Ensure all policies and procedures are implemented and followed by self, Volunteers and Members
- Transport members in Wings passenger vans to off-site community partners as necessary
- Invite community partners to Wings for monthly on-site learning opportunities
- All other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite
- Lesson planning experience preferred
- Organized, attention to detail, flexible and adaptable
- Leadership and communication skills
- Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills
- Comfortable leading, as well as being a team player

- Meet physical requirements to safely perform assigned duties
- Ability to drive 15-passenger van
Qualifications & Experiences:
- Passion for Developmental Disabilities community
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or prior experience working with the Developmental Disabilities community
